I thought the Giant was embossed there for a second but realized it was just the lighting of the artwork. I cancelled my order for this one as I am not that fond of this film. I thought I would love this due to the praise this receives plus my fondness for 80s / 90s campy-ish movies, but I did not enjoy the film much. I love The Neverending Story, The Goonies, and Big Trouble in Little China though.

I don't believe I have thought or said this of any other steel before, but IMO, this is the ugliest Steelbook I have ever come across. To my chagrin, I don't think I remembered to cancel it, so this monstrosity is on its way to my house...straight to my sale list!

I can honestly say this was like the only steelbook I got because of the movie and not the steelbook. And then I realized it was region B

I recently got a blu-ray burner, set it to region B so I can rip the movie to a region free ISO then burn it. Tested it on this first with success.

I didn't care how many people liked this. This is where I drew the line ordering just because other ninjas grew up on this movie and loved it. The art is terrible. But alas, not as bad as some:

Me too, I don't get why it would even come near a discussion about ugly steels. It's a classy rework of the original one-sheet, with great inside art and a tastefully matched disc. Nothing even remotely ugly about it.
