This steelbook is so much classier than the WWA one- close-ups on Leo and Tom's face don't really impress me but this Manta design sure does.

And while I'm planning to get the FAC edition, for now in terms of slips we can only compare with Kimchi and again, Manta is far better (for the Kimchi slip the front and especially the back look like two production stills, I know it's supposed to convey the grittiness but I much prefer the scenery displayed on this Manta slipbox).

Glad there's no holofoil too!

I just hope Manta will drop the "Inspired by true events" bit, it does make the front look too cluttered- will you please tell them to do so @Aniv?

True! Also they don't need to have the same useless but perhaps obligatory text at the bottom of the back of the steelbook AND at the bottom of the back of the slipbox.

Pick one, I don't think they need to have it on both!

I love the text. All of it. The less text there is, the less actual design there is. No text = a couple of film stills or promotional images slapped on the package with very little thought involved. The British record label 4AD produced some of the most innovative, influential, and exquisite graphic design in the world throughout the 80s and 90s, and there was text absolutely everywhere in their designs. They made a true art of it.

I may be alone, but if they remove the text, I won't be buying this.

Nah, you're not alone. I love seeing typography used well in design. When it's done well it looks great and the idea of it being cluttered doesn't even enter your mind, I feel like that about this design.

Especially considering it will be 3 editions again, a full slip, lenti and a ???? Special edition plus manta aren't cheap.

We should see the beauty shots by the end of next week.

And i know that the ???? Edition will only be avaliable when you buy the full slip and lenti like they did with man of steel

I have a feeling the ???? Edition Will be some kind of material slip like satchel esque

I'll only be going for one and I have a feeling it will be the full slip

I wasn't wowed by their man of steel lenti and I love the art used for this full slip. Unless they have uped their game on lenti
