View attachment 6580In this thread, you voiced your opinion. I passed it on to all the powers that be and Hi-Def Ninja's voice seemingly has been heard.

While I cannot say they have switched from landscape (horizontal) to portrait (vertical). I can say that the quality of this batch is heading into a MORE than acceptable and reasonable solution.

There are some cheap, done horribly landscape titles out there. But there are also some magnificent must own ones as well. (Monsters, DE - Book of Eli, DE come to mind)

Here is the news that makes me excited to see what these all will look like regarding this wave. I would rather have quality made horizontal's then the exact same art from the German wave.

they may well be able to do internal artwork on these too which combined with the removable taco card with the tech specs on should give these a very polished look. There may also be some debossing on some of them too, I’m imagining the title treatment but I don’t know for sure.

I've also been given a sneak peek at one of the titles, so let me know what you think about this one and the others if given this level of art quality for the rest of the wave.

If you like, chime in with which titles you'd like to see debossing on this wave and who knows ... it might just happen.

not going to lie... the artwork looks great but the horizontal thing still kills it for me. The saving factor for this wave if it sells well will be the price. Even Im tempted at 10 pounds.

These look awesome, all we need now is Play to sort out there flimsy packaging so at least half that arrive are not full of dents.

Something I didn't say earlier, @ Wreck, can you pass back the message that so far these look great and are a definite improvement on what was expected after previous efforts. A release date for the ones without art would be useful as there are other releases already on the horizon for 28th May (Masters of Cinema have at least one releasing then). Thanks for passing on message.

Agreed. Without studio logos they look really clean. I was turned off by the horizontal aspect but now Ive changed my mind.

there's good chance the release date will be later on the others ... here's why. (see below)

We’re hoping to get the remaining ones live, perhaps releasing at a later date, as soon as the artwork has been cleared.

I can't see them pressing new discs, they'll be the same region as the current UK releases.
