View attachment 6580In this thread, you voiced your opinion. I passed it on to all the powers that be and Hi-Def Ninja's voice seemingly has been heard.

While I cannot say they have switched from landscape (horizontal) to portrait (vertical). I can say that the quality of this batch is heading into a MORE than acceptable and reasonable solution.

There are some cheap, done horribly landscape titles out there. But there are also some magnificent must own ones as well. (Monsters, DE - Book of Eli, DE come to mind)

Here is the news that makes me excited to see what these all will look like regarding this wave. I would rather have quality made horizontal's then the exact same art from the German wave.

they may well be able to do internal artwork on these too which combined with the removable taco card with the tech specs on should give these a very polished look. There may also be some debossing on some of them too, I’m imagining the title treatment but I don’t know for sure.

I've also been given a sneak peek at one of the titles, so let me know what you think about this one and the others if given this level of art quality for the rest of the wave.

If you like, chime in with which titles you'd like to see debossing on this wave and who knows ... it might just happen.

Really don't understand all the hate for horizontal when they are well made like this does it really matter.

Or maybe a vertical with logos, printed backs and no inside art is the way to go

Its a shame they used to same cover art as the german one for Hulk... but the Incredible Hulk looks freakin sweet!

That front artwork of Red on the Hellboy II cover is freakin' awesome. The Incredible Hulk is really good and with an inside art of The Abomination is bad-ass too. I can see they are putting some thought into the artwork on these. Thanks to Wreck for puttin' the word out to the people who make them is definitely paying off.

Hey Wreck, what do you mean by reversible artwork? Are you saying we can pop the plastic inserts and turn the artwork around and have something different?

I'm not into the horizontal steelbook thing...but great art work,clean back,inside artwork and probably most importantly the price is right.ordered the lot.

Grrr... just noticed I cant buy them in GBP anymore or they wont ship outside UK. With the conversion rate in Euro that means they will be £1.25 more expensive!!! Damn you Play!

From looking at the pics theyve put alot of thought into the inside artwork so as not to make the disk cover it, im well impressed

I'm just very pleased that we were able to have such a big input as a community (as it was everyone's posts that gave my contacts ammo) to get inside artwork on these and push awareness in regards to quality control if they planned on horizontals.

Good job everyone, and hats of to Play.com who not only listened, but followed through with Universal to put forth these beauties.
