View attachment 6580In this thread, you voiced your opinion. I passed it on to all the powers that be and Hi-Def Ninja's voice seemingly has been heard.

While I cannot say they have switched from landscape (horizontal) to portrait (vertical). I can say that the quality of this batch is heading into a MORE than acceptable and reasonable solution.

There are some cheap, done horribly landscape titles out there. But there are also some magnificent must own ones as well. (Monsters, DE - Book of Eli, DE come to mind)

Here is the news that makes me excited to see what these all will look like regarding this wave. I would rather have quality made horizontal's then the exact same art from the German wave.

they may well be able to do internal artwork on these too which combined with the removable taco card with the tech specs on should give these a very polished look. There may also be some debossing on some of them too, I’m imagining the title treatment but I don’t know for sure.

I've also been given a sneak peek at one of the titles, so let me know what you think about this one and the others if given this level of art quality for the rest of the wave.

If you like, chime in with which titles you'd like to see debossing on this wave and who knows ... it might just happen.

I think it would be wise of Universal to stagger out the remaining releases for later in the year.

Can't wait to see the remaining artwork on the other titles....these are looking very promising. I never minded the horizontals, and some of these have the best artwork so far for the release....

The finish on these is ‘zero varnish’ which is apparently the equivalent of a matte finish.

Based on how well these 6 have been received we’re going to push for the other 6 sooner. I’ll keep you posted.

I say bring it on, the sooner the better! lol.... I need to see how The Thing steelie is going to turn out.... I'm praying it's vertical! It'll sit nicely next to my French Edition.

Anyone know if they will be sole Blu Ray editions or will they be Double or Triple plays?

I'm guessing they will be 1 disc blu rays but I'm hoping for Double Play at least! :s

I'd imagine these will be just the already available standard Blu Rays repackaged into a steelbook.... just sole Blu Ray editions

I wouldn't get your hopes up for a retail £9.99 Blu ray. Pretty certain that that's gonna be single Blu, anything else would be a bonus.

Yeah I agree with U guys, same as old releases but with the steelbook treatment to it and price is awesome

if that's the case, i'd be wary of ordering Hellboy 2 since that is a 2 disc set

i think the HMV Reel Heroes dropped the bonus disc IIRC
