To enter this giveaway, please post 1) There Will Be Blood was loosely based on a novel. Do you prefer book to movie adaptations to follow the book as closely as possible or for the director to add their own "creative license" if it makes the movie better? and 2) What is your favourite film involving swordplay?

ENJOY NINJA WEEK AND GOOD LUCK

Thanks!

1. Well...I like it when they go by the book but nothing is for 100% sometimes you can add stuff for a better result
2. Well, Lone Wolf and Cub is fantastic!

1: I'd be open to a movie adaptation of a book to take some creative license as long as it contributes to the essence of the original story but I wouldn't be for it just for the sake of it.

2: Kill Bill Volume 1

I think they should be treated as two different things aslong as the main plot is similar nice to see someone else's interpretation of a story

Blade cos he's mighty good with his sword

1) I like the movie to stick as close to the book as possible
2) for Sword play really enjoyed the scenes in Kill Bill

I like the movie to be as close to the original work as possible. I think the author should be part of the production and be pitched artistic merit ideas because more often then not the best adaption are a mix of both
2. The last Samurai

1) I prefer the director to add their own creativity unless it is a masterpiece. Otherwise what's the point if I have read the book.
2) Swordsman (Hong Kong movie, I just bought from kimchi)

1) Director desde libros últimamente el juego muy poco, aunque el toque que le puede dar un director nada que ver con el libro y 2) Kenshin: Samurai X

1) I prefer when directors and screenwriters actually stay true to the novel they're adapting.

2) Seven Samurai

Thanks for another great giveaway!

I don't mind when movie adaptations stray from the source material. e.g. Fight Club the movie is a great movie, Fight Club the book is a great book, but Fight Club the movie is not Fight Club the book.

Favourite movie involving swordplay would be... Reign of Assassins.
