Per ordered mine in store today at Yeovil branch. They said they're getting 50 copies. I didn't have to pay anything upfront.

When I asked about it initially none of the staff even knew about it's release so obviously HMV keep them well up to date with their exclusive range.

I'm still shocked by some of their prices to:
Steelbook selection on offer:
Star Wars (both titles) £39.99
Firefly £39.99
Hunger Games £21.99
Hulk £24.99 (must be priced wrong) EEK!
Edward Scissorhands £15.99
X-Men £15.99
Casino, Frighteners, Children of Men £8.99

I dare say I give HMV only another Christmas before they have trouble again :ohno:

Hulk is £8.99 also. Defo a misprint.

I find most of hmvs blu ray stuff is well priced now. They're beating amazon and Tesco, money losing out to Sainsburys. Blow out £18.99. Amazon have is £23.50. The amaray version is 51p cheaper.

That's a relief about not having to pay. Wasn't convinced my pre-order had gone through properly. After everyone else had to pay up front.

Not many copies going to Yeovil. I didn't ask how many they were getting at my branch.

I know Steelbooks aren't HMV's biggest sellers, but before they went into administration, they started to advertise them on TV. There's absolutely no promotion for this one at all. If it wasn't for a sharp-eyed collector, we may not have known about this until it appeared on the shelves.

Yup. I asked the main manager for blu ray section in Hmv today and his words were, "hmmm, not that I'm aware of. Let me go and check" he returned, "yeah, you're right. June 10th. £14.99. Payment up front new company policy due to people not collecting"

I'd definitely be interested in a Group Buy for this, if anyone's running one. My local town centre is dead, and I'm not making a special 5 Mile round trip just to grab one item. After petrol and parking, it becomes a very expensive purchase - And that's assuming they actually have it in stock in my local store on the day it's supposed to be released

I ended up buying Resident Evil: Retribution off of eBay, so may have to do the same for this

Shall call into Shepherds Bush store on my lunch break and ask about this... for those that didn't have to pay anything (and those that did pay as well tbh)... did they give a receipt or confirmation number or something to confirm pre-order? I've never pre-ordered anything in store from HMV before.

I didn't have to pay anything to secure one. They'll give you a till receipt, which has your order number on it.

I wish my round trip could be 5 miles to go to an HMV. Mines 24 mile round trip :(

Yh mines about 21 miles there and another 21 back so 42 miles altogether. When we had a local store I never went in there that much and I've already been to the now "local" store more than I ever went to ny old store.

I'm hoping for group buy and it would defiantly be cheaper and easier but if not I'm planning to get their on 10th when they open and get at least 1 copy.

Just on a side note; had a mooch on HMVs "website" and if you click on the Film & TV section at the top, under COMING SOON the image for Die Hard 5 is the steelbook art, although it says "Harder Extended Cut" like the Italian release instead of just "Extended Cut". Same difference but an interesting one, HARDER does sound a bit dodgy though!!

got mine sorted :)

i was told if it is an item that is not released yet they normally need a deposit of some numeration, i just chose to pay up front as id still need pay later :)
