Mll. I was there at last years nycc and would have love to meet Stan. Thanks for sharing.
I tried to look through the threads for any autographed steels but wasn't able to find it. If you have the link I would love to check out my fellow collectors steels.

I love NYCC and already have my 2013 tickets also I'm going to SDCC for the first time this year as well :oohyeah:

So wait stan wont sign any steelbook covers anymore ???

He had a lawsuit with disney around the time of NYCC last year so I think there maybe have been a problem at the time and they would not let me have him sign the outside, but as wreck mentioned a few weeks later (or it may have been before) there was a guy on ebay who had like 25 Avengers Viva's signed on the outside.

Yeah I have my nycc tixs as well. Went to sdcc last year for the first time and its huge. It literally takes 40 mins to walk from one side of the convention to the other side. My feet was killing me after the first day.

Antman - that is one very cool SS gift, another awesome event here at HDN! Also testament to the quality of this community and the hard work put into this place by the entire staff team (no, my nose has always been brown :))!

Oops, almost forgot - did some housekeeping work to merge this thread to the existing one which was left orphaned in the main steelbook forum. Now it is, I think, in its right home. Now on to save that Ladies in Steel thread...

It was Ash - I've been one very lucky Ninja as my 2011 gift was great too :)

Mll have fun at sdcc. It's one of the greatest experiences as a fanboy you will ever have. But my advice the wait to see the panels aren't worth it. People camp out the night before to see a panel.

Ah ok thanks. He will be near me may 15th I believe and I took off for just the day that he is going to be their. I wanted to get 1 or 2 steels signed or a steel and my avengers poster I got from disney.

How much does Stan charge? Xavier Good luck with Stan the man.

I'll have to wait and see what panels are going to be there. I mean in all likelyhood big bang will be there, which while nice to go but I could skip, but if there is a hunger games panel or another big movie I might try one. Right now the only things I know for certain I want will be whatever hasbro exclusive transformer will be, the lego exclusive, and just the hallmark pins.

I really want the exclusive bruticus from last year and I think DC had these poker chips from "Wayne Casino" in 2011 which I want but both are too pricey

For NYCC I have the Ultimate Pass so I am garunteed seating in the IGN room

He was $50 at NYCC

Hope you get it, I think the lawsuit issue is settled so you should have no problems

The hallmark pins they give out 1 per day. The ones at last years sdcc was the same as the ones from nycc but I missed out on the storm trooper one.

Its $55 ahead and $60 at the door.

But they have a photo op and I can get something signed for $100 or $105
And thanks! i was supposed to see him last year but he cancelled the 2 events close to me last minute because he had the pace maker put in.... I just know I do have forever to see him. He is in his 90's now

I know his normal flat rate is $50 anything more is what the event people keep themselves I believe.

Thats good thanks for the info. I guess I may take something extra to be safe.

Some great autographs here, guys! Just wondering about scratches etc..in my experience collecting autographs, particularly when it comes to silver sharpies and paint markers, is that sometimes over time, if you're keeping them in sleeves such as steelbook sleeves, the ink/paint can sometimes stick to the plastic. Does this ever happen or do you use particular methods when it comes to keeping the autograph protected? I've never had a steelbook signed, but have had this issue once or twice when keeping autographed 10x8s in sleeves until I learned better!

That is a good point. I have been putting it sealed in a ziplock bag. If anyone has any ideas on how they protect their signed steelbooks that would be great help to see.

I dont have any signed steels yet but i plan on just keeping them in the dvd size plastic sleeves I buy for my slipcovers and steelbooks. Anything I get signed I would like to display if possible. The only autographs I own are from some Stargate actors and actresses on some 8x10 photos I believe. I keep them In a hard plastic sleeve and NEVER take them out.
