I saw some people outside the collector forums answering "Of course yes" to questions like "is it possible to guarantee an edition without participating in a GB?". Honestly, what help was that?

Every edition was purchasable without any problems for 1-2 mins. Which is a huge amount of time in a world of collectibles. Honestly, this was not a bloodbath I expected. There were releases from Manta that sold out faster

Yeah as quick and semi bloodbath as this was, I did think it was going to be even more rapid. The OC was still available after I ordered which did shock me. But it didn’t much longer than 20 seconds after that.

But that’s a good thing. You can do it within 2 minutes when ordering direct. Haven’t seen any complaints or disappointment. Unless everyone’s too shy and/or proud to admit it publicly haha
