Was this release posted about anywhere outside of niche message boards? Manta Lab's own social accounts only posted the steelbook themselves, with 0 hints of any slip box/limited release version. Had no idea to even be looking. I was waiting for a premium edition of this movie.

Big time bummed.

Think it’s Collectongs social media you need to keep and eye on. But if you collect steelbooks or just Manta steels then surely the niche steel forums are the best bet?

That I have been. Last Manta release I got was Revenant, and I got the one-click directly from Manta's website. I'd never heard of this "Collectong" prior to trying to find out where Barbie was mentioned.

Just went ahead and ordered the Lenticular B from bluraysforeveryone. $109 with shipping, which isn't too much more than the group buys or ordering direct with international shipping.

Was torn up between A & B. I love the front cover of A. I loved that image as soon as it was posted on Twitter/Reddit long before the movie was out. And I love the pink case of A. But I just really really don't care for the back image of Gosling on that one. It's just so...boring and bland and kinda weird. I love the back image on the B slip. And I do like the front as well...just not as much. And wish it were more pink with the steelbook being blue.

But either way, just stoked to have one coming.

I know am happy to spend the OC cash on this one as I just really loved the film(am not usually a boxset/OC collector, have maybe 3 OC’s and this is my 4th of maybe 3-400 premiums).

Think my local cinema is bringing it back for a one off showing in mid-Nov and I think am going to have to go. Its SO rewatchable for me

That’s definitely less than double. I think it’s close to $75 shipped to US when ordered direct from Manta. Groupbuys were 5-10 more. I might be wrong here, because i got the 1-click

Doing the conversion to GBP theres only a few quid in it (£88 vs £42 and postage is around £10, so £52 vs £90 all in, so a little under double)

But same, OC here and based it on prior costs i’ve paid on single Manta editions.

Maybe exchange rate is where its looking bad (Uk is getting shafted more and more since a certain event in 2016…. *cough* … )

Point still stands; its worth whatever value we are willing to be happy paying for it, and its certainly better to HAVE than have not

Though am still (weirdly I know if you look at the box office) shocked that it was so popular.

Plus its a lovely looking set, together, all 3.
Usually I have a favourite and think another is horrid (artwork/overall design wise) then there is a mid one, but this has 3 wins in my opinion. Even though the Pink lenti was my first choice, that soon shifted to wanting all 3 (and I rarely do OC’s).
Even if its value rockets, I have zero intention of selling any(fan of the movie too, so would rather offload other steels before any in this set…just hope they are a pleasant surprise in hand like the recent Everything Everywhere steel; SO much nicer in hand than expected or the promo shots could show)
