That's one of the best things about Nolan. Not only is he is a great director, by setting his standard, others who come after him have to raise the bar...

It seems there was a hint to Aquaman in Man of Steel and here's the "how":

SPOILER WARNING: What you are about to read could be considered a whale of a spoiler for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, so stop reading now if you strive to keep your comic book movie experiences 100% pure and are basically no fun to be around at all.

Still with us? Whew, good, we ditched those losers.

OK, so — you've likely already read that Aquaman got a nod in Man of Steel, when Clark saves workers from the fiery offshore rig owned by Merrevale Oil (a company that Aquaman has clashed with in the comic books). Clark goes down with the structure, is knocked unconscious and, as he is not the Man of Styrofoam, starts sinking to the depths in a blissful Messiah pose.

If that weren't symbolic enough, a whale and her calf drift lazily overhead, and — waaaait a minute.

A scene from "Man of Steel."

Whales just happened to be there? Attracted to the toxin-belching, still-burning oil rig? Then there's a flashback sequence, and Superman is at the surface. What. Happened.

On Friday's Meet the Movie Press podcast, TheWrap's film reporter Jeff Sneider says those whales, under the command of Aquaman, lift the sinking Superman to the surface — we just didn't get to see it. Yep, Superman was saved by Aquaman's whale friends — and we willsee it in Batman v Superman.

How does Sneider know this? Just a little before the 30-minute mark, he reveals his source himself. Mashable's attempt to get comment from the studio Friday was unsuccessful.

If this turns out to be true, it's a pretty cool way to introduce a new character — with a tie-in to the previous film.

I think that's actually pretty cool. I've always wanted to see Aquaman on the big screen, and I completely agree with the above and also think having him appear in this sequel would be a great way to introduce the character. I hope it's true!

Saw that on CBM:
Created by artist Jeremy Roberts (you can check out more of his work by clicking here), it takes its inspiration from a piece of artwork from Jim Lee.

Using the likenesses of Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and Gal Gadot, this Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice poster makes it very easy to imagine how this trio of heroes will look when they unite on the big screen for the first time in live-action on March 26th, 2016.

Jeremy is a professional artist who has worked on books like Man of Steel: The Fate of Krypton and provided covers for DC Comics titles such as New Suicide Squad. If the first official poster for the Zack Snyder helmed movie is even half as good as this, we're going to be in for a treat!
