I've owned the 3D since release day (just a normal copy) and I thought it was fine. No Avatar, but not bad.

You beat me to it... it is not at all the best 3D out there... but it's a decent movie.... better in 3D than 2D, and a VERY cool steelbook. I think it is a no-brainer to get the 3D/2D in steel. Besides, it is nice to have alongside the other Avenger titles in steel.
