I favour WEA as well over fancy slips. But these premium releases we are seeing lately on top notch, not rushed releases that you get for standard releases. If the slip and lenti is entertaining enough I guess that's enough temptation. Most collectors don't open the premium releases so you will never see the WWA anyway.

same...not paying over the odds for a WWA with pretty slip, but for a unique WWE I would certainly be more inclined

When Mondo release a new art print, they state that it will drop on a random time on a specified day.

So the idea would be say for example the KimchiDVD Hateful Eight GB... I say it's going to be going live on a random time next Thursday (it's not, but this is an example). To save all the F5 bashing I don't specify a time, I just post it at a random time. The smart members out there would subscribe to the 'Group Buy' forum so when a new thread is posted they will get an alert/email that a new thread has been posted and away you go.

But no doubt this will still bring the unhappy campers out of their tents

The idea/goal is for HDN to have a small booth at LFCC next year. That and hope to plan some cool meet up for Ninjas in the UK. I'm going to work hard to make this happen. I've already got a Ninjas house that I'll be staying at so that also means ... more beer money for you all!

I think this would be better but then you'll get the same people moaning that there was no time given and they can't watch the forum 24/7 etc. Doesn't matter how you do it people will moan. I personally don't mind which way they are done.

Some people will miss out no matter what when it's a limited quantity. At least, this way, we avoid having the site slow down cos of the rabid F5 mashing.

Yeah I know people will miss out however it's done. I was just saying that no matter how it's done there will always be people moaning that they didn't get a copy because "the site slowed down/no one posted a GB start time for that date/no advance warning of GB given at all/I was busy washing my aardvark" (delete as appropriate)

Wow. So much negativity again! Random times for GBs is rediculous. I posted my request during live time. Yes it was slow as expected. I then got on with my evening. Checked later on to see if I made the list. Luckily I did. If I didn't then it wasn't meant to be. I missed out on Star Wars full slips. Oh well. I'll tried for the next steel I wanted. Moaning about the site or how it's done is rubbish and immature. You can still try next week on MLs site. Just be happy that these opportunities for gbs are exactly that. Not a guarantee. You win some you lose some.

Aforementioned, let there be region wise GBs with stock allocation proportional to members count in that region.

Wreck said server upgrade and Tapatalk support will happen soon but are there any plans to move the GBs to a dedicated server (e.g. shopify) or is it already on one?

Most of those excuses are a member's own "fault" of prioritising other life activities and not checking the forums often enough and not the same as the site freezing or crashing which is not the fault of a member who is logged on at the appropriate time.
