Every time you guys start screaming all together like happy little girls i feel that urge of spreading a bit of hate so let's go


I'm still thinking back and front DON'T MATCH AT ALL, in colours, design quality/effort and style.
I don't mind the presence of the lamp, even if this isn't a story about the pure love between a mysterious bad guy and a giant floor lamp, the pic has a fine noise and looks nice; I also don't particularly like splatter paint works, but maybe you do, even if they're purple and made with a dull free photoshop brush found randomly on the internets.
And that quote, putting it spaced like that on the front top is a strange design decision, imho.

The spine. Only black? Why? No splatters? No purple? No scorpions? And where's the super exclusive edition numbering?

Not impressed by the "boring" inside picture, it's also too similar to the not impressive disc label, just looking at the booklet you can find 4/5 better and much more interesting shots


But

I like all the slips, they're really great, nothing to complain about. Good job!
The booklet is cool and well printed, the pictures inside are beautiful and look so vivid (I love the little cards too)
So much love for the scorpion on the rear, they made it big and debossed and that's the perfect choice (the tiny FS scorpion looks like a bit of a weak point in comparison)


So, that said, I won't see it in the flesh to judge better, but this is not the steel of the year and could just join Jumanji or TWOWS (UK) in the 3rd place battle

i agree that most kimchi, blufans, etc. releases trash those of zavvi, hmv, etc., but seriously thats not a good looking steelbook imo.. maybe it has the best finish and embossing in the world, but the artwork is poor imo

but nvm.. to each their own.. just felt the need to comment when i read steel of the year

Frozen is the steel of the year - it took blufans couple months and about 5 proofs for the final one to be accepted as previous designs were rejected, much more work was put in developing this Frozen steelbook than Drive. I also agree that Drive doesn't make the Top 10 list of best steel of the year even though I like it. Much nicer releases are by far ahead of it, pushing it so fast out of the top 10.
