I Don't mind the delays either. I'd rather them to take the time needed to offer a high quality product instead of rushing the process and having less than perfect Steelbooks !

It is about principle. When you take money well in advance, it is natural for buyers to expect the seller to stick to the timelines.

It's been like this ever since I started collecting 3 years ago. Blufans used to take our money, and on the contrary to this short delays from manta on this, Bufans went up to an 8 months delay several times on several releases. I guess I got used for it to be part of the game, but nevertheless nothing ever happens smoothly, there's always something and I rather them to take their time needed to produce a ''perfect steelbook'' as opposed to rushing the process so they can be on schedule.

Manta have shown nothing but being up front with us, always providing info and keeping us up to date on what is happening.

I personally don't mind this delay, its bound to happen with other retailer as well.

You can always keep arguing but I paid under the assumption that they will stick to the release date. I used to be patient those days but not any longer as there are too many releases and we need sufficient funds to purchase and not locked with some retailer for months.

One thing I have learnt since becoming a collector, don't ever assume! They will be quick to take your money, never quick to release, and extremely difficult to give it back even if good reason. Same as most businesses unfortunately, even the banking system works like this, instant payment but wait 3-5 days for refunds (n)

All good things come to those who wait so I am hopefull it will be worth the wait.
In all fairness it's not just Manta who take money upfront only to change the release date, Blufans, HD Zeta, Nova and FA,
It seems to be the norm nowadays.:coffee:

What is frustrating is when you bust a nut to pay either pay directly (or via GB) to ensure you don't miss a deadline and then its delayed I can see it may put collectors off but as a long time comic book collector I'm used to delays:rofl:

I didn't realize this idiom had two very different definitions.

I do not own a White Steelbook, I am sure this must be similar as a black steel and any light scratches would show :ohno:

I hope the factory where they get them made will have high quality standard so we get Perfect Steels

Looking forward to that white Steel :oohyeah:

I actually find white steelbooks to be much more forgiving. Whether chipped down to the paint (silver against white doesn't stand out as badly as silver against black), or just lighter scuffs in the gloss. When the gloss gets marred on a black steel, it shows up really well because the opacity of the scuff appears white/milky against the steelbook. On a white steelbook, the effect is far less noticeable than with darker colors.

That said, there are quite a few areas of solid white on this steelbook. Flaws are always much harder to spot on patterned paint jobs.

And I'm surprised this will be your first white steel, @Actarus! But I suppose so many "white" steelbooks are really just half-assed metallic finishes; a truly white steelbook is a thing of beauty.
