*PLEASE NOTE: This list is a 'guide' only and compiled based on a variety of factors including community 'feedback' and 'suggestions'. Steelbook collecting is HIGHLY SPECULATIVE, and different collectors have different ideas of 'rarity', 'limited', 'sought after', and related terms-all of which may change at the drop of a hat with re-releases, or new info.

I posted this in another forum before but I prefer this one, so I try again here. This is an ongoing list that combines a variety of factors that may contribute to the scarcity or rarity of these Steelbooks.-Sirjump

We started off with a "ranked" list, but as many folks may rank items differently, a general "resource" list of harder to find Steelbooks/Rare titles helps the community more. Feel free to comment so we can consider adding or subtract. -Digitalbabe

Maybe we are better off not ranking this large of a list with numbers, at all. Inevitably, we will all have differing opinions and no 2 people will rank them the same. What about removing the numbers from the large list (but keeping the list in the thread), and instead make a few small "top 5" list in different categories such as "Top 5 most pricey", "Top 5 most hard to find", etc. Some of the items on the list could just have been suggested because some folks at one point had a hard time finding them, etc...just some alternate ideas....

Nope, that's a custom job, not an official release.

why is Iron man Ger on place 6, that steel is not very rare, still many available on second market (like bluray-disc.de) and price for mint copy´s are also not that high.

Better put Terminator black Edition before Iron man Ger.

Also Death Race Ger should be @ least before Zombieland and somewhere after Hellboy 2 Ger.

I hope this helps Karl. I found four auctions on e-bay.de over the last few weeks.

Used copies:
One went for 55 euro+ and the other went for around 35 euro+.

One @ 69 euro+ didn't sell.

New / sealed copy:

Went for 105 euro+.

Definitely a bit off from what it was fetching 6 months ago.

2 quickies.
1) Sweeney Todd, is that the play.com version with booklet (I'm led to believe this is the case)?
2) Underworld Trilogy (DE) will need to be updated soon as there is an imminent re-release due (err, today actually !!) (although the re-release is expensive enough !)

Just a thought, what is considered a small print run or does this depend on market. Japan releases always tend to be smallish, Unstoppable 4000, Knight & Day 5000 & HP 7.1 6000 or are we talking much smaller figures ?

Kidding, being naughty-I added some notes to those 2 releases-on Underworld, not sure if the 1st ed will suffer long term-price has come down now, but I have no idea if it will continue to be the case down the road. We'll have to wait and see, so I left it, kind of "pending" for now....

Sweeney Todd should be the Play.com version indeed.
What is a small print run is hard to say. The Expendables Dutch box set is 1500 and is a very small print run. 4-5000 may be in the category as well. Depends on other criteria also.

The first 3 are impossible to find, the Godfathers some still about in JB but damaged.
