There usually is one more badge resale for refunded badges around early-mid june. But it is very limited badges. A couple of my friends did not get badges either during open reg. Simply there is more demand than supply.

damn, hotels in San Diego are ridiculously expensive this weekend. Cheapest on expedia is like $200/night including taxes and that's for a 2 star hotel.

Stay in la jolla if you can, the drive is really not too long, maybe 10-15 minutes.

Finished the hotel registration in 90 seconds, am worried that was not quick enough

60 seconds and I would have been much happier

That works for me, I won't be going home right after the doors close, my drive is 30 minutes without traffic and almost 2hr with traffic so I open to anything.

Will try to describe it in a few words. 150K people roaming the streets and the convention center, lots of cosplay, tons of panels, celebrities, and exhibitors. Best to youtube some vids to get an idea of the insanity.
