Ugh, we'll probably get that lightsaber poster for RotJ now. That's not even a terrible poster on its own really, it just isn't anywhere near as good as the poster featuring the cast.

How can they get ANH so perfect, and Empire so so badly wrong?

I gather you never got the soundtrack to the film
The Original Vinyl Soundtrack Album from 1980 used it

I have seen this point being argued on the Facebook page.

Thing is, it looks dreadful compared to the couple of superb main release posters.

The International One sheet poster is instantly recognisable and utterly wonderful. This is the most flat, uninspiring placeholder image, that gives nothing about the film. Which is exactly what this teaser needed to be back before ESB hit theatres.

It served a purpose. It has no place on a £30 ultimate 4k collectors steelbook.
