Fed up of the laziness and the high prices.

Might end up waiting on an Asian release for this one.....

Jumanji, maleficent, and hook were all gorgeous steelbooks. The back of Jumanji and Hook were not bare, they had artwork but it was connected with the front (open book/open board game style). Steelbooks dont need back art to make it a gorgeous steelbook, Maleficant is perfect the way it is, the black back fits the film and front art.

People moaned at Thor2 zavvi for being too crowded, now moaning at this for being too bare? Makes me laugh how people are so fussy.

First of all I didn't 'moan' about Thor. I wasn't even in that thread much because I was never going to be buying that film.

Secondly, the continuation of 'blank' artwork onto the rear cover is still just lazy. No matter how nice the front is, it's a disappointment IMO.

Thirdly, I'm entitled to my opinion. If it doesn't agree with yours and makes me a 'fussy moaner', then so be it. I'm glad I could make you laugh!

Looks like for now no steel is getting 3D.
And the milking of the force awakens begins

Wonder how many steels we will see for this in the next 8 years
•This one
•Then one with 3D next Christmas
•Then one with all 3 of the new ones together - like the Vader and yoda trilogy steels In about 6 years
•Asian WEA releases
• then re releases which will prob have same designs of the recent 6 with a villain or hero on the front and poster work on the back.

And then the same for the 3 anthology Star Wars films


The only saving of this is if they keep the temp front art and have a spine title

I wouldn't get all your knickers in a twist just yet, this is still the Creative Not Final art, we won't see that until probably a few weeks before release.

I'm more concerned about the lack of ANY 3D disc being announced yet, even the Czech release has had the 3D removed from the description, I just don't understand that at all.....

Im not back tracking, i wasnt refering to you in regards to the Thor 2 thread, end of.

This steelbook's final art isnt confirmed yet, these artworks floating around are tempoary and yet people scream bloody murder straight away.

Wait until its released, then by all means judge it as harshly as you want, but as the saying goes "Dont judge a book by its cover" or in this case its tempoary artwork

It's Star Wars .... one of the most restricted franchises of all time. Expect a global steel with global art. If a bunch of diff art slipboxes pop up it's because they are taking that "risk" as its not "really" approved for them. Trust that.

In any case, just gimme the Struzan art and lets call it a day. (that and 3d disc.) The movie was FAN-***KIN-TASTIC!

Maybe just wait for an Asian or FA one at least will have some design input into the slips to make it interesting even if the steel is just WWA.

Hahaha when was a non 3D new film steelbook £14.99 particularly something like Star Wars not a chance mate. It amazes me why so many people try to suck the joy out of stuff lol. If you don't want to order it then don't, no one is forced to order. I prefer to get UK steels so glad that Zavvi oblige and are releasing this amazing film.

If Nova,Kimchi or Blufans release this under their collections we all no we've got an awesome steelbook coming as well as the film being a great. Hope we get some good news from one of these retailers planning to go ahead with the steelbook format at some point hopefully.
