Would it kill Disney to actually listen to their customer base now & again? Instead of stubbornly continuing with the same policy that aggravates so many. Its not like Disney are on their uppers and have to save every last penny.

do you people want biggest joke FA has got the best buy one with title on front and the spine :rofl::rofl:

so if filmarena can get it in europe a small retailer, why can't zavvi???? :banghead::banghead::banghead:

it really becomes beggars belief

Zavvi delete Facebook posts regularly they often do a clean up
They removed the option to post to page a good while ago
You only have the posts Zavvi list with comments available and they often remove these

They can't silence you on Twitter. All you have to do is type Zavvi in the search box and away you go.

I don't mind the artwork on this but seeing as how it's still available and the majority dislike it, it could be around for a long, long while. To think they probably ordered thousands of these in hopes of it being a big seller.

I think I'll cancel my order and pick it up for £15. The slipcovers are too good to pass up. :)

Looks like zavvi have reinstated some of the complaint reviews on the listing (and from reading them fans are being brutally honest that they've had enough) though my post has not been published, so they're still censoring some (not that mine was in any way inappropriate).

Hopefully they get the message and pay attention.

Regardless of who creates the artwork (I know Disney prepare the art themselves) if zavvi are securing a steelbook as an 'exclusive' to their store in a territory, then they have to feel confident they are buying stock that they firstly can sell, and that will also nurture their reputation as a retailer providing high end exclusive limited items for collectors.

Hopefully this situation will highlight to them that collectors have had enough of the half assed artwork attempts and unfinished looking titleless and spineless steels we've been getting over here in the UK, and will convince them to push for units taken from the American steelbook print runs - you know, seeing as how we speak ENGLISH too.

Bottom line is, if you're charging 9.99 for a steelbook then fair enough, I don't expect bells and whistles and the greatest graphic design on the planet.

But if you"re charging £18-25 for a steelbook, then there's absolutely no reason on earth why the quality should not be EVERY BIT as good as a kimchi or blu fans release. That's a LOT of money to pay for a film that is no different to the standard disc release, with no extras, extra discs, bonus booklets, art cards, sleeves, lenticulars, or p.e.t slipcase.

Steelbooks represent the high end premium edition of a film for collectors, and those same collectors are willing to pay more for a premium item, but for too long they've been pumping out sub standard product with no titles, dull finishes, missing p.e.t sleeves that complete the artwork balance, and in this case without even a 3D disc.

Enough is enough. When you can by an all singing all dancing bells and whistles kimchi release for the same price as a zavvi release on their store, why on earth should we buy anything zavvi have to offer?

Compare the monsters inc kimchi steelbook with lenticular slip, gloss finish, stunning artwork and card to the zavvi exclusive. The cost difference was very little. Collectors have been taken for a fool for way too long simply because we've lapped up the steels they've flung at us. Unless we demand better quality, zavvi will just keep accepting whatever substandard product Disney etc throw at us convinced we'll buy it anyway because there's no alternative. By showing them we won't accept whatever is thrown at us simply because it's a steelbook and that we expect better hopefully zavvi will up their own standards of what they're willing to offer for a studio.

Any idea what the slips are like? Will it be just a thin card, slip in from top, or a full on quality slip case that loads from the side?

I'm afraid I wouldn't know but judging by the picture and past releases from Disney, it will slip in from the top. But that's guesswork, seeing as how it's Star Wars they might change things up.

Sorry for going OT mods, I cancelled my Steelbook order but I'm sure Zavvi will announce a 2D/3D ultimate edition Steelbook later this year.

Kimchi and blufans are much more expensive than £18. Yes zavvi release aren't as all singing but noone is forcing anyone to buy them, if I don't like it I don't buy it, no sense in moaning. I don't mean you specially I just mean in general people complaining.

Won't be changing my mind about this release, I decided to cancel my order today, have not decided which version I will get for Force Awakens, maybe not a steelbook with the current artwork, quite like the Target Exclusive.

Thats just it no one has to order this one and I just hope we don't have another like 30 pages moaning before it comes out lol

I hope we get 60 pages of bitching. This is a specialist forum dedicated to steelbooks, not a politically correct forum dedicated to just kissing a''! Fans are unhappy, THIS IS the place to comment on that. This isn't a purchasing forum it's a discussion forum, that means lots and lots of Negative comments about Zavvi till they stop being garbage and give us what we want which they aren't doing to at least 70% of collectors now. The 30% views are meaningless. Sick of people supporting their rubbish attitude of "we're just a retailer" you're the "home of steelbooks" so get with it and start being The UK Filmarena. Anything less deserves mocking and supporters destroyed
