I hope for a digibook(but not with the same booklett as in the us, too many boring pictures of Bilbo, missing conceot art) and a all ne, drawed frontcover design.
Maybe concept art for the movie, liko on the DVD digipacks.

That for me dont match to the Hobbit(Oblivion is a shi-fi movie). Further I dont like this modern, boring, photoshop artworks.
A great painted/illustrated looking artwork was great. That the set looks more like the great, classic looking DVD Editions with the great concept art.

I really hope you're right but I doubt it. The japanese editions are DVD digipak and BluRay slipcover. Will probably be the same for rest of the world as well unfortunately.
