sorry going to sound like a dumb question here but what if you buy a 3d tv later on then you will have disc?

and if really not fussed for 3d why not just buy but don't use the 3d disc seems you are punishing yourself for something you liked look of till you saw was 3d if you see wear im coming from, no?

I think it's more having the 3D slapped on the cover and spine again.

It is a bit of an eye sore for most.

I agree that having the 3D copy will at least future proof the title, if you have not got a 3D TV

What also annoys me is when you get a Blu ray AND DVD copy. What a waste.

Yes I was just kidding. True enough though, when I used to play D&D, the longest swords my wizards would carry would be a dagger. They would always carry a staff like Gandalf does though.

Only 20.50 gbp on amazon uk right now. So that made it 20.16 gbp shipped to me here in the states so !!! That is a great deal for a 3d blu ray.
Edit: it actually could be better like $22.99 usd for Thor: the dark world this week at best buy.

So you can expect the extended version of The Desolation of Smaug to be available
November or December 2014
