It's a disappointing show when thinking about what it could have been (Glossy with embossed pattern). Wait for it to hit £9.99.

They should have embossed all of Jack, not just his face and debossed the title too. Finish it with a coat of gloss and we would have been looking at one of the best Steelbooks of the year. Instead, it's another mediocre catalogue release. The inside is nice though I must admit.

There is no way the metal would hold up to that level of embossing. It would become super flimsy.

This I think people forget you cant emboss everything on a steelbook.

Not the best, but not the worst. I'm mostly disappointed that the border isn't embossed... I've gotten so used to steels with borders being raised, that to have a flat border just looks odd to me now. To round it off, mine arrived with a dent in it, so I'll be sending it back... might ask for a refund then just wait for it to hit the sales next week.

You know what, I rather have Zavvi give us a gloss steelbook, than emboss/deboss if that was a choice...
The matte finish often makes it looks cheap and ruin the design. So if you coulf choose I would choose a glossy over everything else.

I agree. No amount of embossing/debossing can make a matte steelbook look great... whereas a simple gloss finish really makes the colours pop out!

im glad how it turned out,yeah it's not glossy but it's not the terrible washed out matte that we saw on point break either. awesome inside artwork and if the back was something else i dont think it would look right,good job disney and zavvi. uploading my vid as we speak

Just with Zavvi recent price cuts I may return it and wait for it to be cheaper, have cancelled a few items, in a bid to wait and see.

The Price cuts on stuff like Tron etc has been a big kick in the balls to people who brought it thinking it was 3K, (not me but I do understand they pain)

The part that should stand out I think is Jack's head and its does.
Sure it could be glossy but I think this one of my favourite steels to date

Looks alot nicer than I expected, not dissapointed for 15 quid at all. Wish it was glossy admittedly but the debossing is nice, the red is really nice and the glorious inside artwork is even nicer

Some of us, including me, we sometimes behave like little girls when it comes to steelbook finishes. Make it shiny and GLOSSY and we'll like it
However, as I said before I already love this and can't wait to have it in hand!
