LP-feel free to express your 'wish' for a 'The Thing' (original) Steelbook in our Feedback forum here. Releasing catalog titles in Steelbook format is relatively new(usually the focus is on New Releases). You never know-perhaps a SB of the classic will be added in the future.

I've not seen the original (I do try with most John Carpenter films but the only one I've managed to sit through is Halloween) but I really enjoyed this one

It was an ok movie , but I'd wished they wouldn't have used CGI effects on the creature and do it "old school" like Carpenter did. Anyway , nice looking steelbook.
