Seriously.. why do you people keep ordering from HMV?

Damages, delays and bad customer service! I guess they got it all? :)

This is sorta off topic, but does anyone know how much it is to send back a damaged steel (The Avengers) to the HMV returns center from the US? I just wanted to know because HMV is going to reimburse me for shipping and i just wanted to get a general idea.

Got a reply from them today:

We've recently introduced additional security steps on our website and if any details are entered incorrectly a number of times you will receive the error code 10001. We would ask that you attempt to place your order again about 30 minutes after receiving this message and this should then resolve the problem.

But they are correct because you are taking 0.01 from my account. Why can't they tell you what details are incorrect.

Not that bothered now they can stick their steelbook up their :ass:

I still haven't gotten a reply from HMV about my entire order being dented. Not a single reply.

That's pretty poor! Rest assured you will get something back along the lines of 'Dear valued customer...' to really rub it in.

Hope you get it sorted

I reckon this should be on the OP

Returns form http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Special_Images/uk/com_returns.pdf

Returns address:

What do I do if my item arrives damaged/faulty?
Please print and complete the returns form below and return it along with the faulty item to:

Freepost RSJC-LXLL-TBZE
HMV UK LTD
BIRMINGHAM
B24 9QJ

We would advise obtaining proof of postage for the item as we cannot be held responsible for items lost in the post.

Their return process is a joke. After waiting several days for them to respond to my email, living in the States I thought there would be a different process. They sent me a form to print off and said if I want postage returned as well to specify and put that in with the movie being returned. I did that, I even hi-lighted the fact that I wanted all my postage returned. They received the item about a week later as they sent me an email. Then I received another email telling me they had refunded my request of 12.79. I ended up having a good buddy of mine(thanks Will) call them for me. They refunded the original 4.50 they charged for shipping it to me, and told Will I need proof of shipping before they would refund me. WTF. So I ended up send them a very nasty email about their customer service. They replied the next, which was fast for them, that they had refunded all of my money. Which they did. But it only took me about 3 weeks. Never ordering from them again.

I am not even going to bother with returning my dented steels. They will just lose my business.

The fact they wouldn't even respond to my email is telling of a company that is about to go out of business. I hope they do.

I even sent another email and still no reply. HMV sucks.

In my 2 years of collecting HMV has got to be the worst.

I was lucky enough to receive Wrath of the Titans safe and sound. They send it in their usual box, not the jiffy bag this time.

Also, for some reason, when I send them an email regarding the jiffy bags, their answer was a 2 pounds refund. That was unexpected! However, they didn't respond to the issue with any answer.
