Latest update from Zavvi

Still waiting on finalised artwork.

The finishes are overall matte varnish, except for a spot UV gloss on Mark and Dwayne on the front cover.

There’s a pantone red on their names on the front cover, and emboss on the title treatment.

Confirmed as 1000 units only and from the traffic and questions we are getting, think this will only last a couple of days at the most before selling out.

Shame Zavvi didn't bother with a sticker saying 1000 copies available or something. I thought it had been mentioned they were going to do something along those lines

It was not confirmed-they requested it, but it looks like it was not granted-this can have to do with the fact that the total qty is broken up, and the other parties are not willing to only put stickers on only x qty.

Yeah, all depends on where manufacturered and what all decision makers involved in the chain of the Steelbook release are willing to do at different stages during the process.

Possibly my favorite steelbook of the year. I'm usually a bit sick of black steels, but the front is just really classy.
I also quite like that if you look at the back straight on, the background is grey, but if you tilt it it's got kind of a brown tint to it.
I think might be one of those you need to see "in hand" to appreciate it, but I think it's a really quality steel.

Thats how you do a matte finish. Zavvi releases seem to be better when they're not exclusive to the UK. This steel released everywhere in the world turned out very nice.
