Pretty sure they did this with Wonder Woman. They were sent out early but instructed to be delivered on day of release.

Release date restrictions by a distributor don't apply to all of their releases
Some release can have a restriction and other ones not have it
The retailer would know when stock arrives to them as it would have a notice attached if a release date restriction applies

They then do one of the following
1) Instruct the postal carriers not to be delivered before Monday
2) Delay collection of parcels with the postal carrier

It can still be considered dispatched and send a dispatch email even if they delay collection with a postal carrier

Easy way to know if a release date restriction has been applied to a release
Rep of Ireland Friday is release date for DVD/Blu-ray releases if the DVD/Blu-ray is in stores in Ireland on Friday there is no release date restriction been applied
When there is a release date restriction it would not be available until Monday in Rep of Ireland

Don't know about the delivery of the UK HMV (as only ordered the magnet steelbook so far) but the French example is being delivered from today:-
Looks to be same finish as The Americas . . . matte, maybe zero.

Don't know if any company picked up the original mock-up for a lenticular but there is the depth of field for a good 'un:-

There is no release date restriction on Spider-Man Homecoming Blu-ray
Blu-ray and DVD was available to purchase in Rep of Ireland stores yesterday (Friday 17th November)

2D and 3D Blu-ray and DVD was on sale yesterday in Golden Discs

The trade wide Steelbook with Magnet they did not have in stores


UK release date is 20th November if there was a release date restriction it would not have been available yesterday in Rep of Ireland
Rep of Ireland release date was 17th November

The Bonus Disc extra content is not on the regular 2D Blu-ray

France/Italy Blu-ray release also have the Bonus Disc with the WWA steelbook

HMV release is meant to include the Bonus Disc that was in the Target exclusive
The Bonus Disc is
