Cool, so now you have the added factor that you not only pay 20 dollars for a ticket to see a bunch of morons in front of you film the screen with their phones for half of the movie but you can also say that you waited a full year for it.

This is like when I'm at the dentist, and the receptionist says, "Shall we make an appointment at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon six months from now?" Now I'll need to plan next July around whenever I'm able to buy movie tickets this week.

Looks like a true Nolan epic! Can't say I'm too convinced by Damon in this role though... he feels out of his depth IMO, similar to Paul Mescal in Gladiator 2 (although he was the least of that film's problems tbf). Hopefully I'll feel differently after seeing the actual film, but I would've loved to see Nolan work with Bale again... I reckon he'd suit the role much better as he has more range. Excited but somewhat apprehensive for this one anyway, especially after being incredibly disappointed by Tenet and Oppenheimer.

Saw the 6 minute prologue before Avatar a few days ago. Definitely incredibly hyped for this film, I know the chances are slim because of the Imax reel size but I really hope this film will be 3,5 hours long, or more. Cinema needs a 4 hour epic again like in the old days imo. I also found it pretty interesting how the prologue has a specific focus on the character Ben Safdie plays, Agamemnon. The whole scene that played out made him out to be a pretty mysterious figure and was kind of front and center instead of Odysseus. Agamemnon is also the character on the poster.

This and Dune 3 next year, pretty amazing.

Oh yeah also: I know it's pretty much the norm nowadays unfortunately, but I really don't understand why Nolan out of all people cast Asians and Africans as Greek soldiers (probably because of the Oscars). Yes they could have been in ancient Greece at the time in very small numbers, but as merchants, not as soldiers for Greece. Oh well...as of right now that's really the only gripe I have with this, not having seen the final film obviously.

I see the prologue and was excited but yeah that trailer is awesome I can’t wait

I think Damon looks like he’s gona be top of his game here. And that score is going to hit

This does look really good and I do think think Damon is a good actor when he has a strong director but Anne Hathaway gets on my nerves and I generally try to avoid movies with her in but Nolan keeps working with her …. Ahh
Basically I roll my eyes and try and block her out when she’s on screen

the martian GIF

The moment that sword pierces through the wooden horse, grazes the soldier, and a huddled group of nerve-wracked Greeks rush to cover his cries of agony, a torrent of chills ran down my spine.

The anticipation of oppressive 100 degree heat has never felt so welcoming because July can't arrive soon enough. Thank you, Sir Nolan.

Weird show to premiere your trailer on imo, especially since everyone's watching on youtube anyway and because that hack's tv ratings are super low...hence the firing.

One thing I always fine interesting when films like these come out... Because its in English, how do they decide on what accent all the characters use? haha
The standard for historical epics like this is usually British?... but from the trailer it seems like everyone has a standard American accent... Even the British actors are doing American.

In the end, it doesn't really matter. It's just kind of funny.
