Does anyone else thinks this is a little weird that this is not sold out yet?
Zavvi sold the 2000 print run in 2 days this in total has 1500 copies but is still on...:wtf:

Not many are aware of Plain Archive. There is a tendancy for UK Steels with very limited print run listed at a retailer who ships globally for cheap to sell out quick. Remember not many fancy the goodies. They only care about the Steelbook, English writing on the back of the card, Region coding to an extent and of course the price.

There Will be Blood (16.99 GBP + 1 for postage overseas to select destinations) Vs. The Wrestler ($45~$48, almost double the price, simply doesn't help in current Steelconomic climate).

It's a small, niche, indie film. More so than There Will Be Blood. At least that's my opinion as to why it isn't sold out. Not as popular of a film...

Kimchi usually sell 1000 copies of steelbook in half of hours, 2000 copies takes 1 months to sell out.

Tangled almost sold out after almost 4 months, total selling number is 2500 copies, 500 regular edition is on sale on local shopping mall.

before release date, 20-30% of members cancel their order if the stock last after one week or few days.

actual selling number is very different than what HDN member think,

why zavvi sell the product so fast, because they ship worldwide with 0.9 GBP.

item price is usually lower than 14.99GBP after price change

but these wrestler is double price and matte even if it has plenty of gift and another customs risk (it is big issue on europe members like UK, Germany, France etc)

if it's glossy and 2k print run, I guess it will be sold out in a week or so.

famous movie (like disney or marvels) + low print run + glossy + great artwork = sold out quickly!

Sorry now, but did you guys choose the cheapest shipping option ($10)??

I paid $43 (about £26 I think) inc. shipping.

The cheaper option is $34.99 and the cheapest shipping option is $10. Total $44.99. How did you get it for $43????

Maybe he means the slip? I ordered it originally cause I thought it came with the steelbook but there's no steelbook with that. They were nice enough to lemme cancel and re order the right one. Teach me to get excited and jump the gun a bit lol

i really dont think its the lack of gloss. really. i have faith steelbook collectors arent that petty.

its not a niche film as people are claiming either, it has won awards and had a lot of publicity. its a mainstream film. just because the producer (who also made 'black swan') shoots his films in an art-house style doesnt make the film niche.

i think its because its being sold by a lesser known company. if it werent for this forum, i wouldnt know this steelbook, or plain archive even existed.

in comparison, zavvi are a well established company who many are familiar with.

The reason I paid $43 is because I ordered 2 copies of the steel with the full slip $35.99 each, shipping for 2 was $14. Total was $85.98. So $42.99 each. Hope that makes sense Blu.

i remember when kimchi excl. #1 (T2) was available for order, it also was in-stock for some weeks until it sold out - i think because people were not sure what to expect from this "new" company. and then, it turned out to be a brilliant steelbook, "LGB" went up and first pre-orders sold out in just a couple of minutes.

if this "the wrestler" also turns out to be a nice release (and i expect this to happen), then "plain archive"#2 will be sold out much quicker than this.
