Anyone know why this is taking so long to sell out? Its great that everyone who wanted one has had a fair chance to get one, but I don't get why there are still copies available. This is such a nice looking edition for a great film.

I'm guessing the $36 price tag for a matte finish catalog title may have something to do with it :dunno:

I agree. Releasing independent film as a steelbook is more challenging than 'easy-money' Hollywood blockbuster steels. PA's work and passion are to respected with value.

I ordered the 1/4 slip, i might try and get the full slip too but its just to expensive getting two version of a steelbook from one company, its hard enough keeping up with Kimchi and double dipping. I know i dont have to buy them all but i WANT THEM. I have come to think that these Asian steels are so much nicer than the uk steels and just about anything else worldwide, so ive started collecting them and had a bit of a clear out with some of my uk steels. These are much more impressive to show someone than just about anything we get. I like to show my steelbooks to friends and family even though they dont seem interested, but when i get a kimchi lentic steel out for example, i get a much better response and more real interest when i show someone. Its not as much fun when you get a steel and show it off and no ones interested but these are interesting to people that dont like steels. Well thats what ive found anyway. :)

Its the price that puts me off, its close to £30 to get it delivered using the cheapest shipping option and thats if customs don't get their hands on it.

It doesn't help that as the film has quite an emotional punch to it, I know that I will rarely watch it.

It was £27 i think shipped, not bad really compared to some uk steels being £24.99 + from entertainment store and the zavvi releases that are £20+ will customs even bother with the a steel being low value? they dont take shipping charges as part of the overall value do they?

Yep I got £27. Customs has many different factors to it.

But I think it a good deal. When you think Spinal tap is like £21 at amazon.

You're liable to customs charges on any item that's valued over £15, so both versions of this are taxable.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
