It would have to be a Favorite movie of mine for me to go that route. For example, I have almost every release of Halloween and its sequels on DVD and BD. If there were Multiple steels of this title i would be sure to get them all!!

I usually choose the cover I like best and go with that, but like Black Sunshine, if the movie is one of my all-time faves, then I am inclined to buy multiple release versions (DVDs, LEs, steels) that I can get my hands on.

Depends. First they have to actually look good.

I want the Kick Ass steel but everywhere except Holland has a crap cover.

For TDK, I just got the 2nd release from Canada as that looks the best. The others IMO are not formatted right. Of course I might've got the first release had I been active then but at that time the DVD steel looked better.

I have 2 versions of Inception which are basically the two versions out.

FS Watchmen > German
German Book of Eli > FS
Avatar (Any Asian) > Avatar UK
District 9 French > All District 9

So sometimes its easy to choose.

I guess it would depend on how much I like the movie. With Tron:Legacy I probably would buy multiples so long as the covers were different. Avatar or Iron Man 2--no way.

No I buy only one copy and that is to open and watch. If there is a choice between different countries I'd rather pick Canada due to the convenience of walking into Futureshop and picking and choosing. I'm not adverse to getting titles from other countries though. I've got four coming from Germany, three from England and two from France as an example. I've just recently got into steelbook collecting though so I missed alot of the good Futureshop exclusives from a couple of years ago.

Now saying that, it will probably change. If I have a steelbook with no inside art work and one comes out with a nice cover and inside art I would buy it no question.

If i really like the film and the artwork i will buy the same film again, i have Watchmen FS and the German version. I am a massive Quentin Tarantino fan so i try to collect pretty much everything i can, BD, DVD and collectors editions! I currently have 5 editions of Kill Bill 1 and 5 editions of Kill Bill 2. The Canadian Steel, the French Steel, the Netherlands DVD metal pak, the Japanese premium limited edition box and the amaray blu-ray! Its crazy i know!

it all depends on the cover and how great the movie is. like Inception i own the germany and american version because it is one of my favorites. but other than that it's a no for me.
