These are excellent editions of this great doc. but the prices with shipping are too high. Maybe that's the reason why they chose Plain Archive to sell them to international customers, they're thinking that PA's appeal will help sell them.
You are most likely correct
The print run also is more towards international market
Domestic is 1,200
International is 1,800

This will sell but will be available for months or even over a year taking a guess unless the price drops a lot
If the price had of been like other steelbooks range of $50 to $60 and at max $72 with shipping included it could have sold well but it will struggle to sell at $107 with shipping it's double the price of other releases and these are ones that have sold well

Documentary Blu-ray releases can sell well but never reach the level of sales a Popular Film releases do most Documentary Blu-ray releases end up been sold at a highly reduced price within 6 months with most retailers worldwide

My wallet that is empty right now but will have funds in the new year even then I can't justify paying $107 for 1 Steelbook no matter how beautiful the overall package looks and how much I want it in my collection
I want this yes but at a normal price and considering prices of other steelbooks the price is too much for me even in Jan or Feb
I purchase a lot of steelbooks be it local or foreign releases but I have never spent $107 on 1 steelbook ever I have yes on 2-3 steelbooks at one time but that to me is different as you are getting 2-3 different items

Please don't blame God for the high prices.:p
Do you not thank god for happiness? Then why not blame God for unhappiness? :naughty:

This is the first time I didn't order or pre-order blus from Plain Archive on the day it goes live since Melancholia DVDPrime exclusive in 2013.
Talking about PlainArmy, I'm a traitor now I guess. :)
As much as you would like to be a traitor, I'm sorry to tell you that you are not. Plain doesn't have anything to do with this release so you're safe. :p

Thinking of how cool it would it be if this actually was a PLAIN release, with an Earth Plain logo sticker.

Also, just been thinking. How are they going to fit the 6 discs in this steel when the inside looks like this?

They most likely are using the New G2 Steelbook with the deeper hubs that stack discs on top of each other
So it will be 3 discs each side

Cor blimey!!! Just seen the price! I've been working my Jacobs off all week so a bit late to the party on this, but that really is expensive:(

Really is a beauty of a set, especially that full slip, but I just can't bring myself to buy it at around £70 inc shipping. Real shame because it looks great.

Like most of you, I have to pass at the moment. Lots of Blu Rays to pay for this month, and Group Buys, plus I still have to buy my gf something nice ;)

So yeah, will get this eventually but for now in a bit strapped

As soon as I realised I have to pay for so many other steelbooks (Ant Man, Looper, MI5, Terminators etc)

I too have just sent in a cancellation request.

Now that i'm thinking straight the price is way too high for 1 copy of a film. The price of this one documentary from Plain Archive will cover my bells & whistles editions of Looper, MI5 and one other FilmArena purchase.

This is just the beginning. More high priced titles are going to come putting off many.

You're like a priest with a mission buddy  Nearly every thread you spread the word to release us from the bad habit of buying expensive collector items
I totally respect your decision and totally understand where you coming from but I think it's not quite appropriate to avoid the people here when they come especially to this place to look for these items
No offense buddy, just my thoughts

And I also passed on this heavy overpriced set. I wouldn't mind to buy it anyway when it was not on PA's website
