Just been chatting to Elliot Cardona (the guy who designed the artwork) and he confirmed that this has "a matte finish with a Pantone red and embossed lettering." Shame it's not gloss, but I can live with it being matte because I like the artwork so much. Can't wait for this one!

I love red steelbooks and don't have nearly enough of them in my collection. If this had a Zulu style gloss finish, which is one of the best finishes I've seen, it would have been excellent.

I love red steelbooks and don't have nearly enough of them in my collection. If this had a Zulu style gloss finish, which is one of the best finishes I've seen, it would have been excellent.

Yep gloss makes everything look better. Expect this will look quite nice in hand due to the red finish giving it that metalic shine like on 28 days later but I'm just not a fan of the plain design.

I am going to wait to see this in hand in HMV then decide whether or not to get the steel or the lenticular slip version

The steel looks a bit plain for my taste where as pictures of the slipcover look awesome
