These pictures have me intrigued. The first two numbers of the barcode (50) certainly indicate a UK origin, added to which all of the writing on the J-card is in English. However, this release is
not designated for the domestic UK market, since it is missing the obligatory BBFC ratings symbols.
Also, if you look at the language and sub-title options detailed on the J-card, the discs are clearly those manufactured for sale in Eastern Europe and the Middle East!
Audio: English, Czech, Kazakh, Russian, Ukrainian.
Sub-titles: English, Arabic, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Estonian, Hebrew, Latvian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovene.
The language and sub-title options for the domestic UK release are different, as evidenced by the J-cards for the standard 2D & 3D editions, illustrated on the amazon.co.uk webpage.
Audio (2D): English, French.
Sub-titles (2D): English, Arabic, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Hindi, Norwegian, Swedish.
Audio (3D): English.
Sub-titles (3D): English, Danish, Finnish, Hindi, Norwegian, Swedish.
I get the feeling that this particular release has been produced by Sony, specifically for the Middle East market and that the Eastern Europe discs have been included, since they also contain both Arabic and Hebrew sub-titles.
I'm a little dubious, therefore, that we will see this 3D Steelbook edition released in the UK, especially since HMV is only charging £16.99 for their exclusive, as opposed to the £21.99 they normally charge for their 3D ones.
