• De-bossing
• Gold Foiling
• Gold foiled Numbering (Directly applied onto slipcase)

The fact that this is the only so-called premium package for these wonderfully entertaining big budget blockbuster films might just have something to do with it
Handsome and lovingly detailed "Book of the Dead" slipbox is the icing on the cake containing 3 well above par nicely designed embossed steelbooks make up this almost perfect package

You can tell this is your first premium lol

How do folks know how much stock is left? Just from what's said on the pre-order page or is there another trick? I placed an order myself yesterday knowing I can cancel later or involve PayPal if needs be (which I don't think will be the case). My SOTD order has now shipped and hopefully EB will swiftly learn from their recent mistakes and impress us with this. Order #1779 ;)

Personally I think they have badly misjudged there price point, the quality of the box sounds too good to be true for the price, which is why I'm a bit wary of potential changes post pre order.....

your order was 1779, we have seen other with order above 2240 i think. That indicates that most all are gone probably seeing that people can order 2 if they want as well.

Not exactly in the same league as the genuine Snarky Assassin - maybeSnarky Assassin U.K. mk. 2. - but more appropriate moniker "Sarky Assassin" with sarcasm being the "lowest form of wit".

I personally don't consider this a "premium release" and am only buying it because it's the only release in the U.K. of the individual MUMMY steelbooks (at the time of writing) and of course to support a U.K. retailer trying to find its feet supplying a British-made product.
British-made product? No idea . . . but Id like to think that it's not just the J-card and the shrinkwrap part of the package that is made in the U.K. . . . the gorgeous box too (?)

A premium release - such as the SotD Blubox - this is not.
There's no individually designed slipcovers, neither artcards nor posters . . . and other ephemera that you'd expect to see inside a premium release is absent too.

Here I'm buying three separate steelbooks in the style of the BREAKING BAD or STAR TREK 50th Anniversary Collection steels with the only difference between this and those being the quality of the outer box . . . looking at it from the other side, the other main difference of course is that those were all individually sealed over their J-cards.
I am NOT buying the exact same steelbook twice or thrice with the only difference being its packaging.

Kudos to EBlu for limiting the purchase to 2 units per customer to give the genuine collector a better chance and to cut down (not eliminate) the re-sellers.

I see, no trick then. Just a statement on pre-order page

There is a trick mate. Was shown it last night. And it now shows as 0 inventory

I wouldn't be surprised if the wood is changed. Hope not for all that's ordered sake but I have a funny feeling

well i just ordered one managed to sneak in wasn't going to get one until i got my email that sotd had been dispatched. if that box is as good as it looks in hand then a well spent £52. lets hope EB have learned a few lessons and this gets sent on release day with no problems.:)
