One thing I always fine interesting when films like these come out... Because its in English, how do they decide on what accent all the characters use? haha
The standard for historical epics like this is usually British?... but from the trailer it seems like everyone has a standard American accent... Even the British actors are doing American.

In the end, it doesn't really matter. It's just kind of funny.
I thought the exact same thing. And I was confused why Pattinson and Holland seemed to be doing American accents but Damon sounded less American. But yeah also don’t really matter. Unless the actors accent is sh!t. Can’t wait to see that Cyclops in action

Am I the only who who is underwhelmed by this trailer? I saw the extended preview in imax and that was absolutely badass, but that trailer does absolutely nothing for me.

That is something that never bothered me when watching the trailer.

I can however, and will comment on 300, with Gerard Butler forgetting he was a Spartan and falling into a Scottish accent. My wife thought that was hilarious. Only other thing she liked was Xerxes, but who wouldn't admire someone that's 8ft and bronze in colour. No way I could compete with a god.

Only time will tell what she thinks about this, she's adores the epic poem, so I wonder if she has accents in mind with the narrator (or characters)?

Anthony Hopkins, Welsh accent.

Christopher Nolan, if you are reading, when then comes to amarays, steelbooks, and is included in Manta Labs offerings, I need a Welsh dub throughout.

Go figure

agree, previous trailer was far superior.

The previous trailer was a whole lot of nothing though, typical of what Nolan has become tbh

This new trailer at least shows more of what the films actually gonna be about

Skipped this trailer but read a few qualms about dialogue and accents elsewhere too. I am curious how this will feel against Nolan's best work, for a period I found a bit of his work was often attempting to be more clever than it actually was and ended up just being a bit convoluted in places, then Oppenheimer came along and felt like it wiped that slate clean.

This should be more straightforward too which is nice, I'm just not really sure how most people will receive it. There's been so much from The Iliad and The Odyssey parodied or referenced in media over the years so everyone should at least have a small grasp on it, but in this case I'm wondering if that's a bad thing and how engaging the plot will be.

I didn't realise American accents or subtitles were the only options....
I prefer American accents over the other available options. Imo dialects, foreign -and old languages only 'work' with native speakers. It only needs one actor/ actress not able to speak those languages to ruin a complete movie. My 0,02€
