Not much anymore, no. I fill the band's pockets by going to their gigs and buying their merch, rather than fill the record company's pockets.
But bands that have their own labels, or are on indie labels, actually make money off of their music.
Not many of those I'm interested in are, but I take your point. Nonetheless, I still "give back", just not quite in the same way I did for decades, for ridiculously overpriced physical copies.
Saying that, if there's something I really like, I tend to grab a copy.
They may be overpriced there, but here in the states, most of the time the cd is cheaper than the iTunes or other digital version. Bands make even less off of digital versions of the albums.
