Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

HMV now in administration said:
People should just be aware of 2 things:

1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund

2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

Available to pre-order right now.
Release date: January 28, 2013
Purchase Link: Amazon.co.uk
Note: No inside art (see post #443)

Excellent news!

Nice inside art guys. Can someone point me in the right direction of the thread that shows how to do this. I can pull it apart and and add inside front and back art, but how do you do the inside spine?

My copy arrived from Zavvi today and within 30 seconds it had full inside artwork, including spine. I had pre prepared a frame during the week in anticipation of its arrival.
Also completed work on Expendables 2 (UK & DE) Con Air and Taken 2.

This thread here shows you how to do it.

Got 2 damaged Loopers from thehut.com :(

Hardly surprising considering that they ship their steelbooks in crappy cardboard envelopes so it was just a matter of time before some members started to report damaged steelbooks.

For the sake of a measly £3 you could of got it from Amazon undamaged (& much quicker i hasten to add) because their steelbook packaging is far superior.

When will people ever learn :dunno:

I know that Zavvi are apparently going to improve their steelbook packaging but until then you're much better off ordering from anyone but them if you can help it.

Thanks for that. Double-sided sticky tape appears to be the way. My Steel arrived today in one of Zaavi's cardboard envelopes, but is fine, so as soon as my sticky tape arrives I'll be doing some inside art on this and a couple of others that have been bugging me.
