Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

People should just be aware of 2 things:

1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund

2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

Just received my dispatch email too. I ordered a Blu-ray from Zaavi a couple of weeks ago and it arrived one week after the dispatch email. So I'll expect it to arrive next Monday. I'm glad I've already seen it, or all this waiting would be torture.

Only thing is I've never returned a steelbook before and I wonder if I'm being daft, it has 3/4 paint scratches along the top edge, one of which is longer than the rest and which could easily have been from the sharp cardboard packaging. They aren't massive but bigger than flecks is best way I can describe it. They can't be seen from the front but if you look from above they are instantly obvious. Has anyone had a similar issue with a steelbook and did amazon accept it as a reason for replacing? Thanks

If youre not happy with it, then exchange it

I always just state im an ocd type of person and list each imperfection. Paint chips and scratches shouldnt be present on a "premium" item so if youre not happy get another
